Established in 1896, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is a global self-funded non-profit organisation. NFPA has more than 250 technical committees under its umbrella and it works towards eliminating death & injury due to fire, electrical and related hazards in residential commercial and industrial setups. NFPA  releases several codes and standards for fire Building and electrical safety to it members in USA North America Latin America and several other regions in Middle East  & Asia. The standards are revisited and revised at regular intervals by the technical committees. NFPA has several online catalog on standards are available for purchase and download. NFPA’s research and work in Industrial Dust Collection, Combustible Dust, Explosive Deflagration , Hazardous Materials an HAZOP is  extensive and considered as the gold standard guideline by the ventilation professionals. Apart from its research NFPA also drives several trainings advocacy and awareness programs to further its mission of Fire Safety. Sparky the Fire Dog® is the official mascot of NFPA.
